Special Notes/Funding

Due to COVID-19 safety protocols are in effect. Passengers and driver are required to wear masks. Eligibility Guidelines: -Explain eligibility (one round-trip ride per person or multiple round-trips to overcome a short-term barrier) -Make sure client understands that this is not a permanent program, nor should it be used to replace existing transportation. Guidelines for Scheduling Rides: -If applicable, determine if a return ride is needed and if this return ride should be on-demand (client calls 2-1-1 back) or if it can be scheduled. -Double-check destination and mention that it cannot be altered once the ride is confirmed. -Remind clients to take all personal belongings with them (to mitigate lost and found issues) -Share make, model, color, license plate and driver name with client for on-demand rides. Lyft Concierge Portal Guidelines/Best Practices: -If caller does not have a cell phone, use a land line. If they do not have access to a phone, use your 2-1-1's main 10-digit number. -Select the smallest-needed vehicle to save costs (only schedule larger vehicles for groups of people or for people who need extra room) Verifying that Client Is Using Lyft for Intended Use: When entering the destination in the dispatching portal, the name of the location is sometimes also viewable (for example - hospital names). However, some locations, like food pantries may not appear with a name. If there is uncertainty of whether destination is qualifed, use Google Maps to verify.
