Description:

Provides programs that impact struggling and at-risk students through case management, literacy tutoring, afterschool programs, and summer camps. Services are offered in select Duval County Public Schools and vary by school and grade level or age of students. Afterschool programs are held Monday through Friday for three hours after school wherein students receive academic support from certified teachers and participate in enrichment activities such as robotics, symphony, sports, life skills, and more. Students also receive a snack and a hot meal.
Duval Reads Literacy Program- The Duval Reads program provides intensive one-on-one and small-group literacy tutoring for students during the school day and in the afterschool program.

Students can be referred by school staff or contact the CIS staff directly.
Student application and parent consent form are required.
