Description:
Assists low income households with immediate and emergency home energy needs that pay all or a portion of the utility bills of people whose utilities have been or are at risk of being shut off. Assistance is eligible for seniors only (age 60 and older)
Hours:
Mon-Fri - 8:00am to 7:00pm.
Intake Process:
Clients are seen at JEA by appointment only
Client MUST be screened by United Way of Northeast Florida 2-1-1 during regular business hours.
Dial 2-1-1 for information and to schedule an appointment.

Eligibility:
Age 60 years of age and older
Duval County resident
Must have a double bill or disconnection notice
Must meet income eligibility of 150 percent of Federal Poverty Guideline for the current year
Must have documented proof of need
Social Security documentation must be the award letter from Social Security (an Award letter can be obtain by visiting www.ssa.gov and creating an account)
