Description:

Provides information and referral services for seniors age 60 and older, adults age 18 and over with disabilities, and their caregivers. Services for seniors include once-in-a-lifetime financial assistance for rent or utilities when funds are available. Education and support for caregivers is available through the Tailored Caregiver Assessment and Referral System. Additional services for all eligible individuals include Medicare and health insurance counseling through the SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) program, assistance with finding and securing Long Term Care for seniors and adults with disabilities, and connecting with isolated seniors through the Caring Connection Program.

Hours:

Mon-Fri - 8:00am to 5:00pm

Languages:

English, and will provide an interpreter for other languages.
Visually or audio-impaired dial Florida Relay Services at 711.

Eligibility:

When available, financial assistance available only to qualifying seniors age 60 and over who are facing a recent crisis.
Assistance with connecting to Medicare Long Term Care provided for adults age 18 and over with disabilities.
