Description:

They are an independent community based program that provide expertise in evaluating alleged child abuse, abandonment or neglect of children. The risk factors are assessed and recommendations are provided for prevention, intervention and investigation for children and their families. A referral is needed from DCF or a law enforcement agency to qualify for services.

The existence of suspicion of child abuse, abandonment or neglect that has been reported to the Florida Abuse Hotline and accepted for investigation provides automatic eligibility for CPT assessment investigations
