They oversee compliance with a court order that an offender restore what a victim has lost as a result of a crime or act of delinquency. Staff contact victims to determine loss amounts, investigate the offender's assets and help the victim present a restitution request to the appropriate authorities. Clay County Probation report findings to the court, monitor payments of restitution and a variety of legally sanctioned methods to recover losses for victims.
