Description:

This is a transitional program that works to facilitate the well-being and self-sufficiency of teen parents by providing and coordinating ancillary services to ensure that teen parents remain in school. They provide counseling, assistance enrolling in health insurance, referrals for prenatal care, WIC and case management to work with the school staff to ensure that students are in the right academic program.

Hours:

Mon-Fri - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Intake Process:

To enroll and obtain childcare services: call the Teen Parent Service Center for eligibility requirements and to schedule an orientation appointment.

None.

Languages:

English.

Eligibility:

Teen parents (males included) attending DCPS including the Academies of Technology, PACE center for girls, Charter schools, Drop Back-in sites and other public alternative education programs.
