Description:
Responsible for dispatching officers to prevent crimes, operating 9-1-1, investigate criminal activity, apprehending and detaining suspects. They assist regulating traffic, investigating traffic accidents and engaging in other activities that protect lives and property. Also provides law enforcement training for employees, investigation, and corrections services within the City of Jacksonville and the surrounding areas within Duval County. Additional services include crime prevention and safety education classes, access to public records, fingerprinting, prescription drop programs, management of property and evidence for criminal and non-criminal matters, and providing a safe space to conduct an exchange of legal merchandise sold through online marketplaces.

24 hours a day, seven days a week.
