Description:

Provides no cost critical home repair and rehabilitation to low-income Veterans and their families living in St. Johns County. Additional services, also available in Clay and Putnam counties, include no cost training in carpentry and construction management for separating military members through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program and developing affordable housing in partnership with local communities and governments. Individuals seeking home repair should visit the website, or call for assistance, to apply. Supporting documentation is required.

Intake Process:

Proof of military service, such as a DD-214 form or equivalent.
Income verification, such as recent pay stubs, tax returns, or other financial documents.
Residency verification, such as a utility bill
Property information, such as address and condition - required for assistance with home repairs.

Eligibility:

Must be a resident of Clay, Putnam, or St. Johns County. Home repair and rehabilitation is offered only in St. Johns County. Priority is given to Veterans and their families.
Must be a low or moderate income household, with an annual household gross income below 80% of the area median income.
Must live in the residence and be able to provide proof of ownership.
Must be in compliance with any mortgage on the property and be current with property taxes and utility bills.
